Security Platform Engineer, UK Security Operations

As Security Platform Engineer, you design, build, and operate cloud-native security platforms with a focus on Kubernetes-based environments. You will deploy and manage cloud security tools, monitor and protect private cloud deployments, and lead incident detection and response. Working closely with SecOps and product teams, you shape scalable security tooling and automation to reduce risk at scale. You join a mission-driven team delivering highly secure private cloud services for critical customers, with hands-on on-site work and an on-call rotation.

• Deploy, configure and manage SIEM, IDS/IPS and CWPP tooling
• Develop and implement security monitoring and logging strategies
• Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, containment and remediation
• Perform forensic analysis on suspicious activity
• Automate security tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with Incident Response Engineers and platform teams to embed security in infrastructure
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to ensure rapid incident response
• Operate and secure private cloud deployments for high-security customers

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or platform engineering roles
• Experience with Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with Kubernetes security (workload isolation, RBAC, network policies, containerisation, orchestration, observability tools)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD)
• Active or able to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) UK security clearance
