SEND Reform Data Analyst

In this role you will transform SEND data into clear intelligence to inform Reform Plan decisions and service design. You will work with operational and corporate teams to develop data products, dashboards and analytics that support governance, performance tracking and evaluation. You’ll translate complex data into actionable insights for leaders and partners, shaping local planning and service delivery. This is a collaborative, public-service role with a focus on data quality, governance and impact across SEND reforms.

• Gather, validate and analyze data from SEND systems and partners to ensure accuracy and relevance
• Translate data into visuals and concise narratives for reform leads and governance boards
• Provide analytical input to design and baselining of the SEND Reform Plan and future operating models
• Develop dashboards, scorecards and regular reporting for reform delivery and outcomes
• Produce geographical and cohort-level analyses to inform local planning and school clusters
• Support evaluation and self-evaluation by defining measures and monitoring impact
• Prepare information for governance, inspections and statutory returns
• Collaborate with operational and corporate teams to improve data quality and reporting
• Apply information governance and data protection standards, communicate data limitations

• Experience gathering, cleaning, joining and analyzing complex datasets from multiple sources
• Ability to translate analysis into accessible intelligence for non-technical audiences
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualisations (Power BI, SQL, Excel, Tableau or equivalents)
• Experience supporting service design, performance management or evaluation
• Strong collaborative skills across teams to deliver shared analytical products
• Understanding of information governance and data protection in public services
• Knowledge of SEND services or ability to quickly build subject knowledge (desirable)
