Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Raleigh, NC area seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role will play a key part in month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing-related transactions
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to improve financial processes and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding xhqgsiq of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis

Preferred Experience

• Standard costing, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and inventory accounting
• Fixed assets and capital project accounting
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar
• Continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
