Senior Accountant

Our manufacturing client in St. Thomas, ON is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their collaborative team. In this position, you will play an integral role within a close-knit local accounting department, handling full-cycle month-end close activities, general ledger accounting, and partnering with operations and department leaders to provide valuable financial insight.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities and deliver post-close reporting to department managers.
• Prepare and process general journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist department managers with cost center reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage prepaid expenses and track CapEx spending against budgets in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Oversee inventory valuation and execute month-end inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Partner cross-functionally with senior operations leaders and shared accounting groups.
