Senior Accountant -3 Months

Overview

Our client, a reputable organization within the financial services sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team on a 3-month contract . This position offers a fully remote work environment and presents a strong opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Base pay range

CA$45.00/hr - CA$45.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process and support financial and regulatory reporting
• Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting issues and provide solutions as appropriate
• Serve as the go-to person for financial reporting and monthly close presentations, including preparing variance analyses and commentary on financial results
• Perform complex analysis and articulate the financial and regulatory implications
• Participate in year-end audits and other audits, preparing supporting workpapers and promptly addressing questions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with applications and ERP systems, including Oracle, NetSuite, Excel, Word, Preset, and Google Suite
