Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Lead complex accounting work remotely across Canada, using financial reporting and reconciliation expertise to strengthen Acuity Insights’ operations.

As Senior Accountant, you’ll own significant accounting-cycle areas while working closely with the Controller and a small accounting team. Your work spans month-end and year-end close, journal entries, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and audit support. You’ll investigate discrepancies, resolve complex accounting questions, and improve reporting reliability. You’ll also contribute insights to budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete month-end and year-end close activities
• Review revenue recognition and deferred revenue reporting
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend appropriate resolutions
• Support financial reporting, audits, and audit readiness

Requirements:

• Strong technical accounting expertise and sound professional judgment
• Experience independently owning significant close responsibilities
• Experience preparing or supporting accurate financial reporting
• Experience investigating complex accounting questions and discrepancies
• Experience supporting audits, documentation, and controls
