Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Support Bromwich+Smith’s financial health in Downtown Calgary through accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and advanced Excel expertise. This is a full-time position.

As Senior Accountant, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee core accounting processes. The work includes financial statements, month-end close, variance analysis, and budgeting. You will also improve finance processes through automation, reporting tools, and collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Produce budget-to-actual and forecast variance reports
• Calculate monthly work-in-progress accruals and accounting impacts
• Support annual financial statement audit documentation and requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field
• Completed or in-progress CPA designation
• Four to five years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role
• Experience with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
