Senior Accounting Manager/ Assistant Controller C PA a must! Northern, NJ

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager/ Assistant Controller to oversee key accounting operations, including the monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit support, M&A integration, and leadership of teams. This role partners closely with the Controller, Director of Accounting, and cross-functional leaders to ensure financial accuracy, operational excellence, and a strong control environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly close and financial reporting process.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial results.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Support U.S. and international audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives.
• Assist with M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• 12 plus years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting/audit experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI, Qlik, and ERP experience (FSM preferred)
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
