Senior Advisor, Data Governance

• Define and implement data management processes for optimal and secure use of data


• Help teams recognize and manage data as a strategic asset


• Lead stakeholders in developing practices adapted to diverse business needs and complex data governance initiatives


• Make recommendations about data use and compliance with governance documents


• Serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert on data governance


• Coach decision-making bodies and influence stakeholder decision making


• Help data producers and users valorize data in keeping with sound data governance


• Advise teams on developing and applying data management processes and controls


• Develop, operationalize and improve data governance standards, processes, tools and best practices


• Coordinate identification of sector data governance needs and opportunities


• Analyze risks and gaps between governance documents and operational practices


• Oversee development and implementation of compliance practices and mechanisms


• Coordinate, monitor, measure and communicate standards and practice performance, including data governance maturity changes


• Lead projects related to data governance development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field


• A minimum of six years of relevant experience


• Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered


• Knowledge of French is required


• Extensive, in-depth knowledge of the data governance line of work


• Ability to develop and apply data management processes and controls
  
• Ability to develop and operationalize data governance standards, processes, tools and best practices


• Ability to analyze data governance risks and operational gaps
