Senior AI Machine Learning Engineer

Shape AI and machine learning solutions at Smile Digital Health while building scalable healthcare data products in a two-week Agile sprint environment.

As a Senior Software Developer focused on AI/ML, you will guide strategy and implementation within Smile Labs. Your work supports customer-specific solutions built on Smile’s FHIR-based data liberation platform. Apply semantic matching, RAG systems, document parsing, and agentic frameworks to complex healthcare data projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the team’s AI/ML subject matter expert
• Document AI strategy and align it with product roadmaps
• Shape project scope, milestones, and solution design
• Implement AI/ML solutions, prototypes, and external components
• Write manageable code, unit tests, and technical documentation

Requirements:

• Six or more years in software architecture, full-stack development, or AI engineering
• Two or more years implementing advanced AI solutions
• Experience with semantic matching, RAG, and structured document parsing
• Experience deploying agentic systems with LangGraph, Crew AI, or OpenAI Agents SDK
• Experience designing end-to-end architectures for complex projects
