Senior AI Platform Engineer - Security

In this role you will help design and own security foundations for Esko's AI Platform, enabling product teams to build AI capabilities with strong controls. You will collaborate with cloud platform, security, compliance, and product teams to implement reusable, secure defaults and platform controls. This hands-on engineering position focuses on building secure identity, policy enforcement, risk-based controls, and audit capabilities. You will influence security decisions across teams and shape resilient, scalable security solutions for AI workloads.

• Shape and own security architecture for the AI Platform and secure substantial security components
• Design and implement identity, authorization, delegated access, and policy-enforcement controls for AI systems
• Secure retrieval, tool use, and execution against prompt injection, data leakage, and AI-specific threats
• Define risk-based controls including approval gates, isolation, execution limits, and recovery mechanisms
• Build auditing and monitoring to detect high-risk behavior and support investigations
• Conduct threat modelling and adversarial testing and translate findings into platform controls
• Collaborate with cloud platform, security, compliance, and product teams to meet security obligations while staying practical to adopt

• 5+ years in software engineering focusing on secure cloud, distributed, or platform services
• Experience with authentication, authorization, policy enforcement, and multi-tenant isolation
• Threat modelling and application security testing experience
• Experience with systems using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, or agents and their security risks
• Experience building reusable platform controls, APIs, or shared services
• Ability to balance security, usability, and operational complexity and know when human approval is needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and business stakeholders
• Bachelor in Computer Science / ML / Data Science / AI or related disciplines (or equivalent)
• Strong software engineering in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
