Senior AI Platform Software Architect

Architect AI platforms remotely from Calgary with .NET, Python, cloud infrastructure, and model-agnostic LLM integration expertise. Own production systems end to end.

Vertical Motion seeks a senior software developer and AI platform architect for internal engineering platforms and client modernization. You will design architectures, build AI applications, manage context and grounding, and connect agents with tools through MCP or equivalent interfaces. The role includes leadership and client collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research technologies and select architectural approaches for systems
• Architect production AI applications with model-agnostic integrations
• Build context management, grounding, and source attribution capabilities
• Develop harness orchestration for execution, cancellation, and recovery
• Coordinate implementation, releases, estimates, and delivery planning

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in software engineering
• 10+ years developing and owning production software systems
• Strong .NET and Python backend engineering skills
• Production cloud infrastructure and containerized Linux experience
• Model-agnostic LLM, grounding, and structured validation experience
