Senior AI Platform Software Engineer

Build AI infrastructure with Python and distributed systems expertise at Workday in Vancouver, using a flexible work model with office time.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will help shape the AI Model Serving platform and production model registry. You will design high-throughput systems, guide technical decisions, and support traditional machine learning models alongside large language models. The team powers production AI workloads across GCP, AWS Bedrock, Ray Serve, and Gemini.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead critical design decisions for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Design and maintain systems moving machine learning models into production
• Write design documents and build consensus across engineering teams
• Troubleshoot production issues and respond to platform alerts
• Review code and improve continuous integration pipelines

Requirements:

• Six or more years developing large-scale distributed systems
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Deep Python proficiency and production software development experience
• Familiarity serving, scaling, and monitoring LLMs and traditional ML models
• Strong communication, mentoring, and collaborative engineering skills
