In this role, you will help build scalable automated analytics and AI-enabled controls to proactively detect and prevent issues across lending products and customer communications. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand processes, data flows, and system architecture, turning messy workflows into robust automated solutions. You’ll leverage SQL, Python and AI tools to deliver impactful improvements that support risk management and customer outcomes. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape analytics and automation at Zopa as the company scales.

- Engage with stakeholders to map undocumented processes and identify monitoring/automation needs
- Analyze data movement and define what to monitor, validate, or automate
- Build scalable automated solutions using SQL, Python and AI-enabled tooling
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to understand system architecture and drive implementation
- Improve quality, reliability, and scalability of detection and prevention of operational issues
- Shape reusable capability patterns for the growing analytics/automation function
- Focus on lending products initially with potential expansion to other areas
- Degree or equivalent experience in a STEM field or similar
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with independent work ability
- Exposure to SQL, Python or similar analytical tools or demonstrated aptitude to learn
- Interest in automation, AI, and applying technology to real business problems
- Experience in fast-moving environments (preferred)
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup and visit London office 2–3 days a week
