Senior Analyst Operations - Remote

Senior Analyst,Middle Office. Under the supervision of the Director, Middle office, theselected candidate will provide support and guidance within Middle office team.The senior analyst will be a key resource for any escalation from anystakeholders (traders & sales team within the institutional divisions) aswell as the other divisions as required. This role will assist in tradesupport, P/L control, margin calls, allocations.

MainResponsibilities

• Review,analyze and resolve moderately complex trade issues that require in-depthevaluation.
• Lead projectsand assist Manager with industry related initiatives.
• Assistmanagement for system automation, efficiency enrichment, and risk mitigationprojects.
• Perform endof day checks to ensure accuracy of daily work.
• Monitor andmanage regular break resolution and month end signoff responsibilities,ensuring consistent timeliness and accuracy.
• Providebackup to reconcile & complete the daily & monthly P&L reportingfor the institutional activity
• Provide avariety of reports, internally as well as for self-regulatory entities includingBank of Canada & various borrowers
• Play anintegral role in the management of the firm’s internal securities inventorymanagement system (BondOne-DSTS, Fidessa etc.)
• Help toensure and support to maintain documentation for existing customer accounts andcoordinate the opening of new customer accounts
• Assistmembers of the team to resolve escalation settlement problems and managerequests from clients
• Assist to bea backup to confirm inter-dealer broker and client transactions, & assistin the trade allocation process

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 - 7 yearsof experience in middle or back office operations with an excellentunderstanding of fixed income & equity products;
• Bachelor’sdegree in Finance or Economics, an asset
• Ability towork in a dynamic, hands-on to multi-task and fast paced environment with anattention to detail
• Ability toinvestigate and strong knowledge problem solving skills.
• Knowledge ofa variety of trading & settlements systems including DSTS, Fidessa, Omgeo,Candeal, Arrow
• Strongquantitative skills and exceptional proficiency with Excel a must, with VBAknowledge
