Senior Analytics Engineer

In this role, you shape analytics infrastructure to enable fast, trusted data-driven decisions. You will sit between Data Engineering and BI to extend data modelling and self-serve capabilities, empowering analysts and business users. You’ll optimize the data warehouse presentation layer and deliver scalable, high-quality models for reporting and analysis. You’ll partner with BI and Analytics teams to turn needs into actionable models and drive governance and documentation. • Own and evolve the data warehouse presentation layer—optimizing schema, views and tables for accurate reporting
• Design and maintain self-serve data models enabling cross-business data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with BI and Analytics teams to translate reporting needs into effective data models
• Improve data model performance and warehouse design for speed, scalability, and ease of use
• Set and uphold data quality, governance, and documentation standards
• Support strategic data initiatives and drive scalable, automated solutions
• Champion self-serve analytics and train colleagues to explore data via BI tools
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, planning, and knowledge sharing

• Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer within a data team
• Advanced SQL skills with performant, well-documented code
• Strong understanding of data modelling and database design
• Experience with version control (Git) and teaching others to adopt it
• Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python)
• Experience driving data self-serve adoption across diverse teams
• Comfort with PII, security best practices, and data governance frameworks
• Ability to build multi-functional relationships and communicate with stakeholders
• Thoughtful, pragmatic, and able to challenge assumptions to move the team forward
