Senior Android Embedded Systems Engineer

Own Android device software across AOSP and Linux kernel drivers, supporting low latency video and audio on ARM hardware.

As a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer, you will work hands on across platform builds, kernel drivers, and multimedia paths. You will debug HDMI issues involving specific TVs and cable boxes while setting technical direction. The role also includes mentoring engineers and supporting on-device AI performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own software from platform build through kernel drivers
• Debug video, audio, and HDMI compatibility issues
• Support board bring up on ARM devices
• Tune multimedia pipeline latency for on-device AI
• Mentor engineers while contributing hands on code

Requirements:

• Experience shipping a physical product
• Deep experience with AOSP platform changes
• Linux kernel driver development experience
• Experience debugging multimedia and HDMI problems
• ARM hardware experience; NPU or GPU acceleration helpful
