Senior Android Engineer

As a Senior Android Engineer at Yoto, you will shape the future of the Android app used by millions of families. You’ll own end-to-end features, collaborate with product, design and iOS peers, and contribute to architecture decisions that improve performance and stability. You’ll lead complex initiatives, promote quality, and use automation and AI tools to move faster without compromising product integrity. • Build and ship high-quality native Android features following best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver engaging UX
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and iterative improvements for a scalable codebase
• Work closely with iOS team to develop shared features
• Contribute ideas on architecture, standards and tooling
• Utilize automation and AI-augmented tooling to boost efficiency
• Act as feature technical lead, owning complex projects from design to delivery
• Guide other engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Champion end-to-end quality with automated testing and improved engineering standards

• Several years of Android app development experience
• Native Android Kotlin development
• Experience with MVVM or MVI patterns
• Experience consuming third-party APIs
• UI, unit and Snapshot testing experience
• Ownership of complex features from design to delivery
• Strong technical judgement and autonomous working style
• Excellent communication across disciplines
