Senior Android Engineer

As a Senior Android Engineer at Navan, you will design, build, and enhance our mobile apps in the expense management space. You will work with an international team to deliver new features and improve the product, guiding complex projects with clear technical direction. You contribute high-quality code, optimize performance, and participate in architecture decisions that impact scale. This role offers meaningful impact in a fast-moving, AI-aware product environment.

• Design, build, and ship Android features in a large production app
• Contribute to Android infrastructure to keep delivery fast and reliable
• Review code, provide feedback, and write technical documentation to improve practices
• Lead development initiatives by introducing new technologies or elevating current code/architecture
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders on technology, design, and product direction
• Triage product and application issues and respond quickly to customer problems

• 5+ years of experience developing high-quality Android applications
• Strong understanding of the Android full app development lifecycle
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for UI
• Solid understanding of Android SDK components and lifecycle integration
• Performance tuning and optimization experience
• Experience with Gradle builds and modularization
• Strong concurrency skills with coroutines; ability to make architectural judgments using data
• Experience with MVVM and multi-tier architecture
