Senior Android Engineer (contract)

In this Android Engineer role, you will help build Dojo’s new merchant app from the ground up, collaborating with design, backend, and product teams to deliver impactful features. You will own code end-to-end, solving customer pains and prioritizing the user at every decision. The position focuses on delivering a best-in-class merchant experience while shaping how Dojo’s tools empower business owners. • Solve customer pains by delivering features in cross-functional squads
• Own features end-to-end in the new app
• Foster a collaborative environment with customer-centric decision making
• Collaborate with squad and Android engineering chapter to build a best-in-class product

• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and the Android Framework, especially Jetpack Compose
• Product-focused mindset with data-informed decision making
• Reactive programming experience (Coroutines, RXJava) and MVVM/Clean Architecture
• Unit and UI testing proficiency (Mockk, Robolectric, JUnit)
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with Dependency Injection, Jetpack Libraries, and CI tools like Bitrise (nice to have)
