Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Southwest Washington - Longview/Woodland Compensation: $28–$41/hour DOE Employment Type: Temporary or Temp-to-Hire Openings: 2 About the Opportunity CV Resources is partnering with an established Pacific Northwest construction and industrial services organization to hire two Senior Accounts Payable Specialists . These positions offer the opportunity to join a collaborative accounting team undergoing exciting improvements in technology, automation, and financial operations. We're seeking experienced AP professionals who bring strong accounting fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and an interest in improving processes. Candidates with a combination of accounts payable, purchasing, and supply chain experience are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including high-volume invoice processing, coding, matching, approvals, and payment preparation. Process purchase order, subcontractor, overhead, and other vendor invoices. Research and resolve complex invoice discrepancies, vendor issues, and purchasing-related exceptions. Perform vendor statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end AP activities. Support job costing, accruals, open purchase order reconciliation, and subcontractor compliance. Partner with purchasing, operations, and project management teams to resolve issues. Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows through technology and automation. Support training, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications 5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience , including experience in a high-volume environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoice matching, reconciliations, and internal controls. Experience with ERP systems, AP automation, or procurement software. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities. Experience improving workflows, mentoring colleagues, or documenting accounting procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Construction, industrial services, or project-based accounting experience. Familiarity with job costing, retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor invoicing. Experience with Viewpoint Vista or similar accounting/procurement systems. Exposure to purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. Interest in AI, automation, and accounting technology. Why Consider This Opportunity?
