Senior Appian Development Consultant

Senior Appian Consultant responsible for designing and delivering scalable Appian solutions that boost operational efficiency and automate processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust enterprise apps, while guiding delivery best practices and technical design. The role combines hands-on Appian development with client engagement in an agile, transformation-focused environment. You will help advance low-code, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to create measurable business value.

• Lead design, configuration and development of enterprise Appian applications ensuring security and maintainability
• Contribute across the delivery lifecycle from technical design and sprint planning to testing, deployment and production support
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts and engineering teams to shape technical solutions
• Mentor junior developers and elevate engineering quality across delivery teams
• Drive Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain delivery quality through technical reviews, unit testing, deployment management and performance optimisation
• Stay updated with Appian capabilities and identify opportunities to improve delivery through automation and reusable components
• Communicate solution design and integration approaches to clients, balancing business requirements with technical practicality

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Appian solutions in complex client environments
• Strong Appian development skills (Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Sites, Reports, CDTs) and lifecycle management
• Relational databases, SQL, data modelling and enterprise data structures
• Experience integrating with Connected Systems, Web APIs, REST and SOAP
• Performance bottleneck identification, caching strategies, and using Appian Health Check and monitoring
• Appian security model, deployments, release pipelines, and production issue troubleshooting
• Technical design documentation, unit testing, and delivering against acceptance criteria
• Appian development best practices and enterprise design principles
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and collaborating with stakeholders
• Proactive learner with interest in emerging Appian capabilities and automation
