Overview

In this senior, full-time role you will own the operation and modernization of Peninsula’s finance and HR systems from the Manchester headquarters. You will work within the Data Team alongside the Development Team and global suppliers to deliver a multi-year transformation programme. You will lead system design, troubleshoot deployments and manage technical debt while guiding future architecture. The role offers exposure to high-level stakeholders and a strategic shift from on-premises to cloud-based SaaS solutions. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented position for someone who drives cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Own and upgrade finance and HR systems integrations and data pipelines
  • Troubleshoot deployments and manage technical debt across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Data teams and liaise with third-party vendors
  • Provide technical leadership in system design, architecture and strategy
  • Define requirements, assess vendors, and support multi-year cloud transformation
  • Engage with senior stakeholders in Finance and ICT to align technical direction
  • Oversee server and database management and ensure reliable data flows to data warehouses
  • Support and streamline existing applications (Dimensions, FocalPoint, Orbis Task Centre, ADM, People XD, Access aCloud) and ensure successful integrations
Key requirements
  • Substantial experience building solutions, data pipelines and integrations using the Microsoft stack
  • Proven track record working with finance professionals, processes and data
  • Experience liaising with senior stakeholders in international corporate businesses
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions, troubleshoot deployments, and manage technical debt
  • Willingness to lead future systems design and strategy in a global context
  • On-site availability at headquarters in Manchester and collaboration with global teams
  • Experience managing servers and databases in collaboration with Infrastructure and Data teams
  • Experience with third-party vendors and driving vendor-based projects
