About Applied AI
Applied AI is Juniper Squares internal-first AI engineering team. We design, build, and run the agents and intelligence layers that help Juniper Square operate in an agentic way, starting with leadership and business-unit needs and built against our own systems of record. We are first-class engineering members of Juniper Squares agent platform team, and we build and deploy the internal projects on top of it, on Juniper Squares AI infrastructure. As the platform matures, our work will extend to clients who use the systems we build.
We are hiring Applied AI Engineers who can build. You will own delivery end to end: working with internal stakeholders to understand the problem, scoping, designing, building, deploying, and operating what you ship. This is an AI-first engineering role. The solutions you build are powered by modern AI, and you will work at the leverage AI-assisted development makes possible, while understanding in depth every system you ship.
The work calls for strong systems design and hands-on full-stack engineering, with enough product judgment to define requirements and make trade-offs that get working software into users hands quickly. You own what you build through launch and beyond, iterating on real user feedback and contributing the patterns you develop back to Applied AIs reusable component library.
Partner with internal stakeholders, from the executive team to business units such as sales, finance, HR, and marketing, to find the workflows where custom agents create real leverage
Carry each solution through its full lifecycle, from prototype and stakeholder validation through hardening, deployment, and rollout to production
Design event-driven, scalable systems that ingest and process large volumes of data and documents
Partner with Juniper Squares platform, R&D, and product engineering teams where the work touches core systems
Own deployed solutions through adoption, including post-launch support, iteration on user feedback, and ongoing operation
Set the technical bar for less experienced engineers on your projects, and grow toward leading projects of your own, including client-facing work as it develops
5+ years of professional experience shipping production software end to end, with hands-on experience building AI-native applications or agents
~ Full-stack engineering capability across data, services, user interfaces, and the infrastructure underneath them
~ Hands-on infrastructure ownership: deploying and operating applications on a major cloud provider, with working knowledge of containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and production monitoring
~ Fluency with AI-assisted development, paired with the depth to understand, debug, and defend everything you ship
~ Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs from internal stakeholders into requirements and deliver working software against them
~ Experience in private markets, financial services, or another regulated, data-sensitive domain
Familiarity with application security and data handling practices for sensitive data under contractual and SOC 2 obligations, including multi-tenant isolation
Experience building evaluation and regression testing for non-deterministic systems
Experience with event-driven architectures and large-scale document processing
Compensation for this position includes a base salary with equity, and a variety of benefits. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family
Life insurance
Flex Time Off in addition to company-paid holidays
Paid family leave, medical leave, and bereavement leave policies
Retirement saving plans
Allowance to customize your work and technology setup at home
