Our client, a Calgary-based public practice accounting firm is expanding and needs a Senior Assurance Accountant with 3+ years of public practice experience, particularly in assurance and private enterprise engagements. This role offers the chance to deepen professional expertise and grow within a firm that values contributions, in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute assurance engagements (Review and Audit).
• Prepare compilation engagements (NTRs), T15, T2s, and related tax filings.
• Collaborate with Partners and Managers on complex assignments.
• Deliver high-quality client service.
• Address client queries promptly and professionally.
• Support training and development of junior staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards.

Qualifications Must-Have:

• CCPA designation completed or CFE passed and nearing designation.
• 3+ years of experience in assurance within a Canadian CPA firm.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, audit procedures, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in CaseWare, TaxCycle, Jazzit, and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to work onsite in the Calgary office.
