Senior Assurance Accounting Manager

Lead assurance engagements and accounting teams at Baker Tilly in Sudbury, North Bay, or Timmins, applying CPA expertise and professional judgment.

As Senior Manager, Assurance and Accounting, you will oversee complex engagements, manage client delivery, and advise on accounting and assurance matters. You will collaborate with Partners, develop client relationships, and support Managers, Senior Accountants, and engagement teams. The role includes portfolio quality control, resourcing, process improvement, and practice development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead assurance and accounting engagement teams through completion
• Manage planning, workflows, budgets, billing, and final outputs
• Advise on complex accounting and assurance matters
• Review complex financial statements and working papers
• Mentor Managers, Senior Accountants, and engagement teams

Requirements:

• CPA designation required
• Approximately six or more years public accounting experience
• Experience leading complex engagements and ensuring quality
• Knowledge of accounting standards and assurance methodologies
• Strong client relationship, communication, and organizational skills
