Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

In this role you will design and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, migrate workloads, and automate software delivery. You’ll work closely with development teams to ensure security, scalability, and high performance in AWS, while driving continuous improvement of DevOps practices. You’ll build and operate CI/CD pipelines, manage IaC standards, and lead automation efforts to improve cost efficiency and reliability. This position offers impact through scalable cloud architectures and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid London setup.

• Design and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Migrate applications and workloads to AWS with a focus on cost, security and performance
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows
• Build and maintain AWS environments ensuring high availability
• Propose and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code standards (Terraform/AWS CloudFormation)
• Provide technical support on CI/CD and IaC to development teams
• Implement and optimize cloud monitoring and set up performance alerts
• Oversee full release process for smooth deployments in AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align deployments with business goals
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve cost efficiency and scalability

• 5+ years of experience managing AWS production environments
• Expertise in AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, IAM
• Advanced AWS networking knowledge: VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, Load Balancers, API Gateway
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration in AWS
• Familiarity with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, DataDog, Prometheus
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for IaC
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance approaches
• Familiarity with AWS cost management and optimization techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Programming skills in Java 21 or Python
• Understanding of financial and business risk domains
• Experience with native AI cloud services (AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure AI)
• Exposure to building and operating AI-driven agents and frameworks
• Familiarity with coding automation tools such as Claude Code, OpenCode or Cursor
