Senior AWS Data Engineer

Sun Life seeks a Senior Data Engineer for its Data Engineering and Operations team in Canadian Operations. You will design data infrastructure, transform operational data into analytics services, and guide other Data Engineers. The work supports data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable pipelines using AWS Glue, Kafka, and Step Functions
• Optimize ETL processes with SSIS, Informatica, or Talend
• Create data models supporting business intelligence and analytics
• Guide Data Engineers on ETL development and data sourcing
• Ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

• Five to ten years designing, modeling, and developing ETL
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Strong SQL and Python programming proficiency
• Experience with AWS data services and data warehousing
• Reliability Status Clearance required before employment begins
