Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC seeks a Security Engineer to protect systems powering AWS. You will identify risks, guide secure architecture, and support AI-first development. The work spans automated assessments, security code, threat detection, and scalable tools for engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design automated security guardrails and secure-by-default paved paths
• Embed security into applications during ideation and design
• Build continuous security assessment capabilities across the business unit
• Contribute security fixes and paved-path code alongside developers
• Participate in security strategy and periodic on-call rotations

Requirements:

• Five-plus years identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans
• Five-plus years scripting, programming, and security code review
• Experience troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, or automating command-line tasks
• Experience identifying vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques
• Experience mentoring, serving as technical lead, or leading engineering teams
