Senior Azure Data Engineer

Design Azure data architectures and optimize PySpark systems as a Senior Data Engineer with ARC’TERYX in North Vancouver or remotely.

This senior position supports the Supply Chain Analytics Squad and its data-informed decision-making. You will build scalable pipelines, translate stakeholder requirements, and mentor engineers. The work includes Databricks, Python, SQL, data lakes, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design batch, streaming, and lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks
• Lead migrations from legacy systems to cloud-native platforms
• Optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data
• Establish data quality, monitoring, and governance frameworks
• Mentor engineers through reviews, workshops, and guidance

Requirements:

• Five to eight years of data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL and Python skills with large-scale ETL/ELT experience
• Expertise with Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and Cosmos DB
• Knowledge of CI/CD, data mesh, and dimensional modeling
• Eligibility to work in Canada
