In this Senior Azure Data Engineer role, you will help build large-scale Azure data platforms to power Databricks AI capabilities. You will work closely with the Head of Data within the engineering team to shape data models and Delta Lake foundations. The position focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions and reliable data architectures. This is a fully remote role with optional UK office access, offering an opportunity to influence data strategy and platform maturity. Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain large-scale Azure data platforms
  • Develop data models and Delta Lake foundations for Databricks AI platforms
  • Collaborate with Head of Data and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure quality, scalable data solutions and robust data architectures
  • Contribute to data modelling and platform strategy across the team
Key requirements
  • Strong experience as a Senior Azure Data Engineer
  • Expert in Azure Databricks and Medallion Architecture
  • Proficient in PySpark, Python, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
  • Knowledge of Kimball data modelling (star schema, snowflake)
  • Strong SQL skills
