Senior Azure Data Platform Technical Consultant

Myticas Consulting is seeking two Senior Azure Data Platform Technical Consultants for a consulting engagement supporting a major banking client.

The consultants will provide hands-on engineering support for the assessment and remediation of an enterprise Azure data platform built primarily on Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory .

The work will focus heavily on platform resiliency, disaster recovery, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, monitoring, security and operational readiness. Candidates should be comfortable assessing an existing production environment, identifying technical gaps, recommending improvements and then participating directly in the remediation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and related Azure platform components

• Review existing platform configurations, processes and technical artifacts

• Identify resiliency, disaster recovery, security, monitoring and operational gaps

• Review and improve Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code implementations

• Assess and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices

• Implement approved technical remediation work packages

• Support improvements to backup, recovery and platform-resiliency capabilities

• Perform technical troubleshooting, testing and validation

• Document findings, recommendations and implementation results

• Contribute to a prioritized remediation roadmap and execution plan

• Collaborate with the Technical Lead and other engineering resources

• Communicate technical risks, progress and recommendations to project stakeholders

• Support knowledge transfer and operational handover

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure Synapse Analytics experience

• Strong hands-on Azure Data Factory experience

• Strong Azure data platform engineering experience

• Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation experience

• Disaster recovery and Azure platform resiliency experience

• Experience assessing production platforms for reliability, security and operational readiness

• Strong troubleshooting and remediation experience

• Good understanding of Azure monitoring and cloud security

• Ability to work independently within a small engineering team

• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

• Bilingual French / English

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not simply an Azure Data Engineer. This role requires someone who understands how an enterprise Azure data platform operates in production and can assess and improve its resiliency, disaster recovery, infrastructure automation, deployment practices, security and operational readiness .

The successful consultant will combine hands-on Azure engineering depth with the ability to clearly document findings and work collaboratively with technical leads and client stakeholders.
