Overview
As a Senior Engineer, you lead strategic Azure infrastructure initiatives on large-scale platforms. You will shape secure, high-performing cloud solutions and drive modernization within a leading, award-winning consultancy serving UK public services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices, and champion IaC adoption. Mentoring junior DevOps teammates and staying current with Azure offerings are key to maintaining reliability and delivering impact at scale. This role offers a chance to influence public-sector digital transformation and build resilient systems.
Responsibilities- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security measures for Azure infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate scalable and secure cloud solutions
- Spearhead adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within Azure
- Mentor and develop junior DevOps team members
- Stay updated with the latest Azure services and assess their impact
- Ensure system reliability and performance; proactively troubleshoot issues
- Azure infrastructure experience
- Proven track record with CI/CD, monitoring, and security in cloud environments
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on Azure
- Ability to mentor others and foster continuous improvement
- Strong collaboration with development teams
- Security clearance eligibility: British citizen or settled status, with UK residence of 5 years and no >30 days away
