Overview
In this role you will design, operate, and optimize enterprise-grade infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including hybrid cloud integrations. You’ll bridge traditional systems administration with cloud operations, tackling OS management, identity, and automation at scale. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure resilient, automated, and auditable environments. This position offers hands-on impact in shaping our hybrid cloud capabilities and disaster recovery posture.

Responsibilities
- Hybrid Systems Infrastructure: design and manage scalable links between on-premises, legacy data centers, and Azure (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute)
- OS & Workload Engineering: deploy and secure Windows Server and Enterprise Linux in Azure compute layers
- Identity & Directory Services: manage Entra ID, Entra Domain Services, AD sync, and RBAC
- Systems Automation: develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI; implement ARM templates or Azure Bicep
- Business Continuity: architect and test backup and disaster recovery using Azure Backup and ASR
- Performance Operations: monitor OS performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, manage logs via Log Analytics, and configure Azure Monitor alerts
Key requirements
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- 3+ years architecting/supporting enterprise workflows in Microsoft Azure
- Core server OS knowledge (Windows Server, Red Hat, Ubuntu)
- Foundational networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, load balancers, firewalls)
- Scripting in PowerShell or Python for automation
- Experience deploying core Azure IaaS components (VMs, Managed Disks, VNet, Key Vault, Blob Storage)
