Design, deploy and run cloud native applications on AWS for the finance and accounting team of a major Canadian bank. Python, serverless, everything as code. Permanent role with Abbeal, Montreal hybrid.

The finance and accounting team of a major Canadian bank builds its applications directly on AWS, treating infrastructure, configuration and deployment as code. They need a senior back-end developer.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain cloud native applications on AWS
• Own the CI/CD pipeline on GitHub and automate testing
• Monitor production proactively, including alerting and self-healing
• Aim for high availability on serverless or hybrid architectures

What we are looking for

• Bachelor in software engineering or related field, at least 5 years in a similar role
• Python back end, Git, CI/CD with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes
• AWS: Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, Aurora, RDS, S3, API Gateway
• Relational and non-relational databases: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB
• Daily use of AI coding assistants, AWS Developer Associate certification appreciated
• Montreal, hybrid, 2 days a week in the office
• Permanent contract with Abbeal, assignment at the client
