Overview
Senior Backend Developer to advance an award-winning travel company’s eCommerce platform and internal apps. You’ll lead backend work from a technical standpoint within the Digital team, shaping API-driven features and automation. You’ll collaborate with frontend and design to enhance UI/UX, and implement automated testing to ensure quality. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, continuous delivery, and problem-solving to improve processes and performance. This is a remote-friendly, impactful opportunity to influence scalable commerce systems.
Responsibilities- Lead eCommerce web and application development from a technical perspective
- Collaborate with frontend and design to improve UI/UX
- Analyse and propose improvements to existing website features
- Identify and automate processes with the business lead
- Implement automated regression testing for the software developed
- Support cross-departmental work in an agile environment
- ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, React
- MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch
- SOLID development principles
- REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and API messaging formats (JSON, XML, SOAP)
- Azure cloud services and resource deployment
- CI/CD and delivery tools (Git, GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins, Selenium)
- Jira and Confluence
- Umbraco CMS experience (optional)
- Testing approaches (TDD/BDD)
