Senior Backend Distributed Systems Engineer

Build secure, scalable backend infrastructure at LotusFlare, using distributed systems expertise to support millions of concurrent API calls globally.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will develop, secure, and scale mission-critical systems for LotusFlare’s DNO Cloud platform. You will own software from development through production maintenance, while working with product and engineering teams. The stack includes Node.js, Lua, and Scala, alongside other languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and scale backend infrastructure for high traffic
• Own development, testing, reviews, and production maintenance
• Work closely with product and engineering teams
• Take ownership of written production code
• Support teammates through questions and answers

Requirements:

• Eight-plus years building scalable, secure web services
• Distributed systems knowledge, including consistency and consensus
• Strong security, performance, and fault tolerance expertise
• RESTful API design and API security expertise
• SQL and NoSQL data modeling experience
