Senior Backend Engineer

In this Backend Engineer role you will build scalable systems for a fast-growing Healthtech platform. You will work on customer-facing and internal products, data platforms, and e-commerce capabilities to enable safe, efficient, and widespread diagnosis and treatment support. You’ll own end-to-end delivery from design to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive measurable health outcomes. • Develop scalable & reliable systems for core products and data platforms
• Build core functionality for customer-facing and internal products, e-commerce, and data platforms using modern frameworks
• Create extensible architectures that enable rapid launch of new products and lines of business
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems
• Develop APIs powering web & mobile platforms
• Own work end-to-end from scoping and design through deployment and operations
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, QAs, product managers, and domain experts

• Experience building web backends in Node.js/TypeScript or willingness to learn on the job
• Familiarity with scalable cloud architectures, design patterns and best practices
• Practical experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with relational databases and search engines
• Experience with TDD and testable code (unit/integration/performance)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for non-engineering teammates
• Ability to balance low-level details with big-picture tradeoffs
• Based in Sofia (BG) for hybrid office presence 3 days/week
