In this role you will shape Teya's technology to deliver a high-performance payments platform for European merchants. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain core systems spanning payments processing, core banking, and merchant lifecycle management. You drive scalable, secure software and own features end-to-end, contributing to a fast-paced, innovative fintech culture. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and well-tested backend code
  • Own features through the full software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with product, design, data science, security, and operations to inform architecture
  • Build tools and integrate systems to improve operational efficiency and reliability
  • Improve CI/CD processes for a smooth deployment pipeline
  • Participate in code reviews and elevate team quality
  • Mentor other developers and foster an innovative, collaborative environment
  • Stay updated on fintech trends and identify improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues to ensure uninterrupted service
  • Promote best practices in code quality, testing, automation, and security
  • Provide SME guidance to other teams
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software development
  • Expertise in Java (17+), Spring Boot
  • Experience with system design, microservices, API development
  • Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, reliable systems
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging across multiple services
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to work well in teams and individually in a fast-paced environment
