Senior Backend Engineer AI Spend

Build AI spend infrastructure at Ramp using backend services, APIs, and data workflows that make provider costs visible and actionable.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will support Token Spend Management for finance and technical teams. You will turn provider usage and billing data into dependable product experiences through integrations, data models, and asynchronous workflows. The team is also involved in inference accounting and new ways to help companies understand AI spend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design backend services and APIs for AI spend visibility
• Build integrations ingesting provider usage and billing information
• Convert integration data into helpful customer-facing structures
• Create accurate, traceable spend models and processing workflows
• Own projects through launch, monitoring, and iteration

Requirements:

• Production backend systems experience, including APIs and data models
• Strong judgment about design, correctness, and reliability
• Independent ownership of complex projects and software delivery
• Experience with external data sources or changing integrations
• Clear communication with cross-functional partners
