Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby), AI Engineering: DAP Repository Flows

As a Senior Software Engineer, you own end-to-end features for the DAP onboarding and repository/background flows, enabling autonomous agents on the Duo Agent Platform. You’ll build agentic experiences and collaborate across the DAP team to raise onboarding ease and codebase automation. This role combines AI-powered automation with hands-on design and delivery in a distributed, async-first environment. • Own end-to-end feature design and delivery for DAP onboarding and repository/background flows
• Build autonomous and scheduled agents operating on customer codebases atop the Duo Agent Platform
• Enhance the DAP onboarding experience for quick, productive project configuration
• Collaborate with engineers across DAP on shared interfaces and patterns
• Review designs and code to uphold technical quality
• Foster a culture of autonomy, ownership, high-context sharing, and async-first collaboration

• Strong, hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production systems
• Experience integrating LLMs into products (product integration, not model training)
• Experience building agentic systems (autonomous or semi-autonomous agents)
• Proven ability to design and ship features independently within a collaborative team
• Strong written communication and effectiveness in a distributed, async-first environment
