Senior Backend Microservices Developer

Build scalable Node.js microservices for BlackBerry Radar, using AWS, Redis, MySQL, and Elasticsearch across real-time IoT systems.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will help expand Radar’s cloud platform within BlackBerry’s engineering team. Your work spans backend development, data-intensive telemetry systems, React, and architectural decisions. The platform supports tracking and analytics for trailers, containers, and high-value assets across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize backend microservices on AWS
• Process real-time telemetry through data-intensive systems
• Contribute to front-end development using React
• Influence platform architecture and technical direction
• Ensure reliability through testing, CI/CD, and observability

Requirements:

• Strong backend development experience
• SQL and NoSQL experience with MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis
• Experience building microservices and event-driven systems
• Comfort with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud tooling
• Ability to reason about complex system architectures
