Senior Backend Platform Developer

Build backend foundations for MaintainX’s internal developer platform using Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and cloud infrastructure. Help engineers ship faster as the organization grows.

As a Senior Software Developer on the Platform Engineering Backend team, you will treat the internal platform as a product. Your work will support more than 150 developers through golden paths, tooling, and platform primitives. The team values distributed systems experience, AI-native workflows, and product thinking for internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design backend foundations powering the internal developer platform
• Build and maintain developer tooling and platform primitives
• Lead GraphQL, OpenAPI, event-driven, and CI/CD golden paths
• Bring AI-native workflows into daily engineering and platform work
• Collaborate with platform and product development teams

Requirements:

• Five or more years of distributed systems experience
• Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Proficiency designing and evolving GraphQL APIs at scale
• Strong AI mindset and cloud infrastructure knowledge
• Product mindset for building with internal customers
