Senior Backend Python Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Python Developer to join a team building secure, scalable, high-performance platforms for a core banking environment, candidates who have hands-on experience building production web applications/platforms with Python as their primary backend language.

What we're looking for:

• Strong professional Python backend development
• 5+ years software development experience
• Strong understanding of transactions, isolation levels, locking & deadlocks
• RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems
• Docker / containerized applications
• Experience owning features end-to-end

Nice to have:

• Banking / Financial Services / FinTech
• Payroll integrations

What you'll work on:

• Design and build scalable Python backend services
• Develop distributed microservices and REST APIs
• Design solutions for high-volume transaction processing
• Optimize performance and reliability
• Participate in architecture and system-design discussions
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Work closely with product, engineering and cross-functional teams
