Senior Backend Software Engineer

Design scalable backend services with Python, Go, and Kubernetes for Achievers’ Data Intelligence team in a hybrid Toronto setting. Build actionable insights from SaaS data.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support reporting, analytics, exports, and data-driven product features. You will work with GCP, APIs, cloud data warehousing, and distributed systems. The work is backend software engineering, not data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain backend services for analytics and reporting
• Build APIs integrating Looker, Tableau, and Power BI
• Apply data modeling and transformation techniques
• Participate in architecture planning and technical design discussions
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance

Requirements:

• Five or more years of backend software engineering experience
• Expertise designing distributed systems at scale
• Proficiency with Python, PHP, or Go
• Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or BigQuery
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and governance practices
