We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based software systems. The ideal candidate will architect backend services, build robust APIs, leverage modern cloud technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that support data-intensive applications.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and test backend APIs, software features, and product infrastructure.
Build scalable and reliable backend solutions using serverless computing, distributed platforms, and cloud technologies.
Utilize AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate software design, implementation, and optimization.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Develop and maintain comprehensive automated tests to ensure software quality.
Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and testing processes to improve the software development lifecycle.
Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.
Participate in Agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Experience developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.
Experience working in Agile or Lean development environments.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Frontend development experience with the ability to contribute to full‑stack development tasks.
Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or bioinformatics.
Familiarity with AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) for software development.
