Senior Backend Software Engineer - Identity Management

Location: Dunton | Hybrid: 4 days onsite | Inside IR35: £620 per day | Initial 4 Month Contract

We're looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join an Identity Management Services team, developing secure, scalable backend services that support critical identity infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-scale backend services using Java
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers
  • Drive best practices across development, security and DevOps
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Support monitoring, logging, databases and platform resilience
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues within an Agile environment

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years' backend development experience
  • Strong Java and Java framework experience
  • Server-side/web development
  • DevOps, CI/CD and version control
  • Security and identity management
  • Relational databases, monitoring and logging
  • Technical leadership/mentoring experience
