Senior Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure

As a Software Engineer at Palantir, you contribute to building scalable infrastructure that underpins Palantir Foundry and Gotham. • Build a performant search and indexing ecosystem for complex granularly permissioned data
• Contribute to open-source data processing libraries and integrate innovations for performance
• Develop distributed systems to power large-scale compute workloads and manage container orchestration
• Design architecture and APIs to keep developers on the happy path
• Implement tracing and performance observability in high-scale microservices
• Create reliable and scalable storage/auth/asset serving systems for product teams
• Automate deployment, management, and operations of distributed systems (e.g., Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka) across environments

• 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable infrastructure systems in production
• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar field
• Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages
• Familiarity with storage and data processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and related tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to iterate with teammates and maintain high quality
