Senior Backend Software Engineer Orders

Build scalable revenue systems with Vivid Seats as a Senior Software Engineer on the Orders team, using Java, Python, or Node.js. This hybrid role includes three in-office days weekly.

You will develop and support production web applications powering Vivid Seats’ online ticket marketplace. The senior position emphasizes backend technologies, modern web solutions, agile collaboration, and software development best practices. You will also contribute to frontend work using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help lead technology direction for ticket marketplace systems
• Develop experiments, algorithms, and features improving value and efficiency
• Deliver business objectives iteratively with cross-functional stakeholders
• Maintain software development lifecycle best practices
• Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and tech talks

Requirements:

• Five or more years building production web applications
• Strong Java, Python, Node.js, or similar backend experience
• Experience designing and testing modern web solutions
• Experience with Redux, Zustand, or similar state libraries
• Experience with Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, or similar frameworks
