Overview

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Fulfilment team, you will help build and scale our saving and rewards programs for a global audience. You’ll work with TypeScript, NestJS and Node.js to deliver secure and performant web applications, collaborating across product, design and frontend teams. You’ll focus on authentication, self-service features, and fraud prevention to protect users and smooth the customer journey. You’ll influence architecture and technical choices while shipping reliable software that touches millions of shoppers. This role offers ownership, cross-country collaboration, and the opportunity to shape a high-scale platform at Atolls.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications and components using Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS and related technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions across the full software lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot, optimize performance and scalability, and enhance user experience
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services and stay updated on web development trends
  • Document code and processes with a focus on security best practices and maintainability
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers and contribute to architecture/technology decisions
Key requirements
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Developer
  • Knowledge of AWS technologies (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, relational and NoSQL databases, EventBridge, SQS, SNS)
  • Experience with backend, REST API, EDA and microservice architectures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Commitment to clean code, testing, and maintainable documentation
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of GitLab, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
  • Optional experience with GraphQL, federation and Supergraph concepts
  • Good communication skills in English
